Shortlisted in Enfield Intergenerational Housing Contest

JA Projects alongside Studio Weave have been named by Enfield Council as one of five finalists in an ideas contest which invited local and practices to compete for an intergenerational housing scheme at Meridian Water (where 10,000 new homes, 6,000 jobs and at least 10ha of parkland are planned over the next 25 years).

Organised in partnership with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, the two-stage ‘Intergenerational Living’ ideas competition seeks ‘exemplary’ concepts for new inter-generational dwellings that respond to the challenges posed by both Covid-19 and the climate emergency.

Contenders were asked to devise a new approach to providing affordable housing in the borough, where around 1 in 6 households is multigenerational.
