JA Projects, as part of a consortium led by Feilden Fowles and J & L Gibbons, have been named as one of five finalists in an international competition for a £35 million raised linear park connecting Camden Town to King’s Cross.
The Camden High Line competition - organised by Colander Associates on behalf of the Camden Highline Charity – will select a design-led practice ’to create a new ‘park for everybody, connecting people in the area both physically and with new community activities.’ The scheme aims to regenerate a 1.1km stretch of abandoned railway, formerly part of the North London Railway, creating a 10-minute pedestrian link between Kentish Town Road in Camden Town and Camley Street in King’s Cross, bypassing eight busy roads using eight existing bridges.
