Breaking ground on the Tustin Estate

JA Projects have been part of a team with dRMM and AKA working on the Tustin Estate regeneration project in South London. The 1960s Tustin Estate currently provides 299 homes in three 18 storey towers and a series of low-rise blocks.

JA Project’s plot lies to the north of the estate in an area of existing low rise housing and intersecting pedestrianised streets called Manor Grove.  Our scheme consists of two new streets of infill terrace housing, reflecting the character and tone of existing 1960s low rise housing.

Work began on the new scheme as contractors broke ground in Spring 2023 and the whole estate regeneration project is planned to complete in 2030. All groundwork is now complete and the building will soon rise above hoarding levels. The project utilises Porotherm clay blocks as a low carbon, and highly insulating natural material.
