Thunder and Şimşek in Summer Exhibition 2024 at Royal Academy of Arts

This year art and architecture in every medium fill the galleries. Architecture occupies two rooms this year including the central rotunda for the first time. There are works which will inspire, delight, move and entertain, all coordinated by sculptor Ann Christopher RA and her committee of leading British artists and architects.

As part of the RA Summer Exhibition, two key pieces by Jayden Ali and JA Projects relating to Dancing Before the Moon, the landmark exhibition in the British Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia’s 18th International Architecture Exhibition will be on show. The process models and the pan stick used to play the vessels ‘Thunder and Şimşek’ installed in the portico of the British Pavilion last year were selected for the Architecture Room curated by Assemble.

The RA Summer Exhibition runs from Tuesday 18th June – Sunday 18th August
